Happening at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center and/or Butler Park. Staffed by Skyhawks, hosted by CHRC. 

Skyhawks Winter/Spring 2022

  • Track & Field Class February 2nd-23rd Wednesdays 5pm-6pm (Ages 6-12)
    • Skyhawks Track & Field was developed to introduce young athletes to this sport rich in tradition and history. These programs combine technical development and fundamental techniques with safety and a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our exercises and drills will prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track and field events, distance running, while inspiring a love for running and being active. The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-down techniques are all covered in this unique program.
  • Baseball Class February 28th-March 21st Mondays 4pm-5pm (Ages 6-12)
    • Learn the fundamentals of fielding, catching, throwing, hitting and base running - all in a fun, positive environment. Specifically designed for beginning and intermediate players, this program teaches athletes new baseball skills along with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork and responsibility.
  • Multi-Sport Camp (Spring Break) April 4th-8th Monday-Friday 9am-12pm (Ages 6-12)
    • Multi-Sport programs are designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. Athletes will learn the rules and essential skills of each sport, along with vital life lessons such as sportsmanship and teamwork.
  • Basketball Class (6 Weeks) April 13th-May 18th Wednesdays 5pm-6pm (Ages 6-12)
    • This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progressional curriculum, we focus on the whole player-teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages.

  

Skyhawks Summer 2022

  • Soccer Camp June 6th-10th Monday-Friday 9am-3pm (Ages 6-12)
    • Your young athlete will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for their next step into soccer. Areas of focus are dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control. By the end of the program, your child will have learned new life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship, made new friends and improved their soccer skills.                                                                            
  • Mini-Hawk Camp (Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football) June 20th-24th Monday-Friday 9am-12pm (Ages 4-7)
    • Mini-Hawk is a multi-sport program that was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through exciting games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace. Participants should bring a water bottle, two snacks and wear appropriate athletic attire.
  • Beginning Golf Camp June 27th-July 1st Monday-Friday 9am-12pm (Ages 6-12)
    • Participants will learn the fundamentals of swinging, putting, body positioning, etiquette and keeping score. The program is specifically designed for the entry-level player, simplifying instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. All equipment provided.
  • Flag Football Camp July 18th-22nd Monday-Friday 9am-3pm (Ages 6-12)
    • Experience the excitement of football with Skyhawks Flag Football Fueled by USA Football. Using a curriculum developed by the experts from USA Football, coaches will teach skills like passing, receiving, kicking and flag pulling. Participants will gain confidence and learn important life lessons in a fun, positive environment.
  • Mini-Hawk Camp (Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football) July 25th-29th Monday-Friday 9am-12pm (Ages 4-7)
    • Mini-Hawk is a multi-sport program that was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics.
