Facility Maintenance Manager

POSITION OPENING FACILITY MAINTENANCE MANAGER

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Non-seasonal, full-time non-exempt, 40 hours per week, benefited position, flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays; Generous Total Rewards Package; including but not limited to sick/vacation accrual, 10 paid holidays, company paid portion of health, dental, ADD and life insurance, Utah Retirement Systems pension plan, and 401K/457/IRA matching and contributory options.

SALARY RANGE: $53,500 - $64,100 annually; dependent on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional certifications in related areas preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in one or more facets of swimming pools, building and ice rink operations and building maintenance
  • 2 years of Supervisory experience
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of workshop techniques and safety practices
  • Strong understanding of mechanical operation and maintenance procedures for building equipment such as motors, pumps, appliances as needed to perform preventative maintenance and repair/replacement of
  • Knowledge of the procedures and methods for building, altering, repairing, and maintaining various structures, equipment, fixtures, and/or furniture as needed to construct and maintain properties and
  • Good understanding of energy conservation measures in electrical and fuel powered equipment
  • General Custodial knowledge
  • Approved Criminal Background Check

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for the overall physical plant operations of the Service Area’s buildings and related facilities. Heavily involved in the planning, implementation and progression of assigned capital projects throughout the facilities. Responsible for the repair/maintenance of machinery, equipment, vehicle and the cleanliness of the Service Area’s buildings and related facilities by coordinating and communicating with the Operations staff and Visual Maintenance Manager. Directly Supervises full/part time Operations Staff and Visual Maintenance Manager. Coordinates Operations staff work schedules’ and maintains consistent communication with the Visual Maintenance Manager in relation to custodial staff scheduling. Assists with the annual preparation of the Operations and Custodial department budgets. Ensures expenditures are within each departments budget. Schedules preventive maintenance within the facility and maintains required records. Ensures that safe practices are followed by assigned staff in relation to the maintenance, mechanical functionality and cleanliness of buildings and related facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring the effective performance of all maintenance related functions in all Service Area buildings and
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively supervising Operations staff and Custodial Manager ensuring optimal performance in each
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective administration of department
  • Assumes responsibility for other duties as
