Assistant Aquatic Program Coordinator

 

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Non-seasonal, part-time, no benefits.  Flexible schedule.  Must be able to work weekdays, evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays.

STARTING SALARY RANGE:  $12.80- $14.00 per hour; dependent upon experience/qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

            1.         Experience in general clerical and office procedures.

            2.         Knowledge of competitive swimming skill requirements.

            3.         Knowledge of Aquatic offered lessons and activities.

            4.         Ability to communicate with children and adults effectively and professionally.

            5.         Current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

            6.         Current American Red Cross First Aid certification.

            7.         Current Water Safety Instructor certification.

            8.         Approved criminal background investigation if over 18 years of age.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties to support all aquatic programing and aquatic activities.  Stay current with swim team activities including maintaining membership rolls and payment records, typing and completing necessary paperwork. Keep swim team parents up-to-date on swim team activities and policies; coordinate activities with staff. Assist with fund raisers and special Center sponsored aquatic activities as necessary.  Assist with all Service Area run Aquatic programing, by giving administrative support to Aquatic Manager, Aquatic Coordinators and Head Swim Team Coach as necessary.

BASIC DUTIES:

1.         Assume responsibility for effectively and efficiently performing swim team, aquatic program clerical and administrative duties.

  • Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining positive relations with                         patrons, parents, swim lesson participants, and swim team members.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working                                 relations with area personnel and with management.
  • Assumes responsibility for other duties as assigned.
