Fall 2020 moving foward - we've partnered with Under Armour and their "Under the Lights" flag football program!

Coed Leagues for grades 1 - 8, held in Spring & Fall, Flag Football is a great introduction into learning the fundamentals of football with an emphasis on fun and fair play. This flag football league is recommended for individuals who wants a safer alternative to contact football but also a great start for kids who would someday like to play in full contact leagues. Games will be played twice a week (one game on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday & one Saturday game). Includes 8 games and an official Under Armour jersey. We do not have playoffs or crown league champions.

  • Games will tentatively begin on September 12; teams will play on Wednesday nights (5pm or 6pm start) and/or Saturday mornings (8am, 9am, 10am, or 11am start) each week. All games will be played at Mill Hollow Park.
  • Practices are not mandatory, but many coaches do like to have them - times will be available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Mill Hollow Park, and must be coordinated with CHRC staff.
  • Crowd restrictions will be in place and will be communicated prior to the first games on the schedule.
  • Coaches and all non-participants will need to wear masks at all times. 
  • Other COVID-19 precautions will be taken, and communicated prior to the first games on the schedule and at coaches' meeting.

Game/Practice Cancellations - Youth Flag Football

CHRC Programs will go on as scheduled unless participants/coaches/parents are notified otherwise by CHRC staff or through designated channels (i.e., email, designated URL, Facebook, etc.).

Games/programs will run as scheduled through cold weather, light rain, and even light snow, as long as field conditions are safe and playable.

Cancellations (for both CHRC Programs and Athletic Field Renters)

Either CHRC or the respective Renter may cancel scheduled use of the field(s) according to the following criteria:

  1. Unplayable field conditions or safety concerns:
    • Fields being excessively wet or dry.
    • Standing water on large portions of the field which cannot be avoided.
    • Exposed sprinklers and/or sprinkler lines.
    • Excessive damage(s) to the field.
  2. Weather:
    • Visible lightning, audible thunder, or hail.
      1. Note that games/programs could only be suspended in these cases, but must wait until conditions clear up to resume.
      2. Field activity should not resume until 30 minutes after last seen lightning strike. 
    • Heavy rain, sleet or snow.
    • Extreme heat or cold.

Note that CHRC additionally reserves the right to cancel any scheduled field use for any reason not specified above, at their sole discretion with little or no notice, if applicable.
